C3 Review

God showed up HUGE at C3.  This was by far the best C3 in C3 history.  The messages were unified and anointed and the worship was through the roof.  I am going to try and catch up on the review I promised over the next several posts.  Here is the opener.

Great C3 Opening

Tonight wasn't an event, it was an encounter with God, and we're just getting started!  I truly believe God's power and anointing is all over C3!  Jentzen Franklin and Christine Caine brought it tonight.

We’re ready and I hope you bring your boots. Brainstorming this conference was amazing, planning for it was amazing, and rehearsals have been amazing, but there is still the unknown of how God is going to use this week in my life and your life to lead us in our next steps that has me stoked. We don’t know what to expect, but we have our boots on and we’re ready for the next step.

At about 1:15 am I took one last look for the day...

The worship center was buzzing with last minute preparations . A couple of people were touching up paint on the stage while lights being programmed flickered.  The sounds of rehearsal from 8 hours earlier filled the room and videos showing last minute edits brightened the screens.

 I felt both excitement and humility thinking that God has given us this time to meet together. But more importantly than that, we’ll meet Him in this place and the walls will not be  able to contain what He has in store! This world isn’t ready for how equipped people will be when they return to their homes after C3. The Church isn’t ready for how God will beautify His Bride during these few days. Businesses and workplaces will change because people have sat before God at C3 and heard from Him. Marriages will be affected, relationships will be changed... People who have felt empty will be filled and those headed the wrong way will be placed on the right track by the Spirit of God. Vision will be given and those seeking the voice of God will hear Him speak loudly, as they never have before.

None of this will happen because I created a chart so the band can learn the right chords to “New Creation.” What we have done to prepare isn’t going to produce any magic in the lives of people. But it’s our prayer that every effort we make to create the C3 experience will be used by God to change peoples lives as they seek Him, and He searches our hearts.

I thank God for our church and for our Pastor and the vision God has given him for the C3 conference. I can’t wait to see you there!

Today Is Her Birthday!!

Today is my wife's birthday!  My boys and I started this morning early 5:45am by preparing a birthday cake and writing cards.  Why so early?  We are kicking off our C3 Conference today and I needed to be at the church by 7am.  In the middle of all the excitement and preparation for C3, I want my wife to know that I love her more than any thing!  Happy Birthday Sarah.  I love you.

Hey everyone!  Just like Pace said…it IS game time and we are FULL ON into rehearsals!  I can't go into TOO many details (simply because there are too many), but there have been some amazing things going on in the Worship Center in the past few days. Videos, lighting, sound…this IS going to be the BEST C3 ever!  Hands down.  I mean…last night, I was putting microphones on marching bass drums.  Right now the band is practicing songs like "Ice, Ice, Baby" and the theme song from Hawaii 5-0.  I'm just waiting for "Too Legit" to kick up. J

I am SO excited to be able to give a "peek from behind the curtain", so stay tuned to see what I can type out.  Sometimes…a picture speaks louder than words..so watch for those too.  Oh, and so you have perspective to where I am in proximity to you…I'm backstage (stage right, to be exact) taking care of the monitors for the band and singers.  It's an amazing responsibility and I'm glad to be able to serve.

When It's Game Time... Get Ready

Last week I started working out again.  From the outside looking in it's a crazy time for me to get back in the gym.  Time is definitely limited right now.  Today I was starting a warm up and I was greeted by a guy named Matt.  This guy has lost over 100 lbs in the last couple of years.  I have mad respect for that guy.  "When it's game time, you got to get ready" he said.  Matt is right.   Game on!
