"When they had seen Him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them...The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told." Could getting people to church really be this easy? Maybe it could be. Maybe it should be. What is your church doing to "spread the word concerning what you have been told about this child..."
we do a lot of outreach/practical help throughout the year, but especially at christmas time...and have been blown away by the response of the generosity of our community. we have collected gifts for kids who live in wheelwright, ky (where the per capita income is under 6,000/year), about 6 hours from nashville -- so we may never see them "come to church" but are they hearing about the birth, the love, the gospel? absolutely. and our community is experiencing it first hand by being the hands and feet of christ to these kids.
