Tomorrow marks the push to get "ready" for Christmas and if you follow this blog very much you know that I don't post every day of the week. It's a priority thing- what can I say. However, starting tomorrow I am going to begin to post everyday up to Christmas. My hope is not to be just another talking head out here in blog land, but to instead create some conversation around how to creatively and simply tell the Christmas story. Let's talk tomorrow...

Pace,
Agreed, I loved your message this weekend. I honestly believe whatever you come up with will be great as always.
If I may be so bold...
It was all about a man
It was all about a cross
It was all about the blood that was shed
so I would not be lost
It was all about the love
That was bigger than a life
It was all about a freedom that was given
through your sacrifice
'Cause you would rather die
than to ever live without me
This has long since been one of my favorite songs simply because it just totally explains the reason for this season and embodies why we need to stop and remember.
I love it when you put traditional Christmas music in so we can sing along.
I will pray for you to have peace and harmony when planning. I will certainly be there when it all comes together cheering as always for the awesome worship team we have!
Blessings,
Andrea

You probably will disagree with me, but today I was listening to Francis Chan. Actually only a few minutes ago. He was talking about how people try to make Christmas the most production based thing in the church, when really it was all about a SILENT night. I'm not saying the creativity and stuff is bad (I'm actually a fan) just something to get the conversations rollin' off the tongues of people tomorrow. Don't take that offensively. Comment back over on my blog if you have something to say.
Brian-I actually agree. Our Christmas services aren't typically that much different than our normal weekend services. I do think (right or wrong) most churches do have more of a laser focus on making sure everything that is communicated clearly on Christmas because- like it or not- Christmas is the one shot many unchurched will give God.
