This weekend we are beginning a brand new series called, "Leaving Lust Vegas." One of the elements we planned in our brainstorming session was to video a guy confessing his struggle with lust. In the video the man will have a black band across his face concealing his identity. In the shoot we plan to capture his story of how lust has impacted his life. We will show the first half before the message.
Following the message we will begin the confession segment again with the black band across the guys face, but as he tells his story we will remove the black band revealing his identity. There is a lot of symbolism in the mask being removed.
I plan on doing my best to capture glimpses of this project in progress. As of today, all we have is a concept. The weekend is coming so it's time to do work. Check beck for update.

Pace,
Wow!! Wow!! Wow!! I am a Saturday nighter. That video was so incredibly powerful!!!! What a brilliant concept and what a courageous participant. I could see the raw, edgy nerves in his eyes throughout the latter part of the video (after the reveal). My old film acting coach always used to say, "the eyes are the window to your soul and the camera cannot lie." Since that mantra I have always locked onto eyes in a video. The confessor, and very understandably so, through his eyes showed that this confession was so real, this issue is so brutal, and he is just on the road back to healing.
My row sat in stunned silence. The guy next to me whispered, "I know that guy!" I asked him if he ever knew the struggle this guy had been going through and he said he didn't have a clue. That is a testament to what you say about the symbolism of the mask being removed. Incidentally, the guy next to me never recognized the guy until the black band was removed!
To me that also shows that none of us know the struggles our fellow man/woman are walking around in. The deep, dark struggles! The kind that can only be answered with the effectual fervent prayers of righteous men and women!!
What an incredible and intense message and worship this weekend! Thank you and your whole team for what you do for us!
