A Glimpse Of A Creative Week...

I am intrigued by what other people do during their work week to prepare for their Weekend Services. We all have a rhythm and groove that we work in as we craft our services. This week we are preparing for our Memorial Day Services. Stop by each day this week and take a glimpse into our creative week.

Comment or shoot me an email and let me know how you flow.

Also, my Pastor brought it again this weekend! We are in week 3 of a series called, "Wake Up." Stop by our web page and check it out. www.fellowshipchurch.com

A Phone Call

The other day I got a phone call from a hijacked phone. The culprit- my oldest son. The call went something like this:

"Hi daddy, uh, when will you be home? Call me at...ok 3pm if you can. I love you daddy. Call me back and come hang out with me. And you know what, I caught a lizard. I am going to go ride my scooter in the drive way. Ok, I love you. I miss you daddy. I love you, Ok, come home soon. Ok bye. I love you.

So call me a cheezer if you want, but man this call made my week. My son has always expressed his love for me easily. I don't know that a day has gone by that he hasn't told me he loves me. I learn a lot from my son. He teaches me about the stuff that matters.

Thanks for the call Caiden. I love you. Let's catch some more lizards this weekend!

End of Conference, Moving Day, Weekend Services...

We finished our dual marriage retreat conferences this morning. For those of you who don't know, our church just put on a Marriage Retreat for couples in our church as well as a Marriage Conference for Pastors from across North America. The speakers did an incredible job. At the top of my list, Ed and Lisa Young, and Craig and Amy Groeschel. My wife and I enjoyed spending a few days reconnecting and refueling. My ribs are a little soar from my wife jabbing them. God filled my bucket and it was good. Sarah- I love you because...

We also closed on our new house about mid-way through the conference. Talk about crazy timing. It's all good though because God is so good! This morning Sarah and I thought we were going to get the chance to sleep in one last time before moving into the house, when the POD people called at 7am and said, "We are one our way." These people are never early! But today they were. Oh well, it just allowed us to get an early jump on moving in. I unloaded 3 POD's with my brother-in-law (thanks DWP!), and then headed out for rehearsal for our Weekend Services. More to unpack tonight and tomorrow in between services. Happy Mothers Day babe!

This weekend Ed is continuing his series on "Sleeping In Church." If you missed last week, go right now and watch it! It was incredible. I believe God is going to do a great work in our church through this teaching. I can't wait to hear this week. We have several pastors from other churches coming to hang out tonight and we are looking forward to hosting them.

BIG SHOUT OUT to our Conference Team. You all did an amazing job! And even BIGGER SHOUT OUTS to our Media Team. You guys never cease to amaze me. It's a joy to serve along side of you guys.

Not What I Expected

Signing 9 Amendments To A House Contract: Not What I Expected
Being Separated From My Family For 7 Days: Not What I Expected
Sleeping In 3 Different Homes In The Last 2 Weeks: Not What I Expected
Having My Days Drive Me: Not What I Expected
Having Over 250 People Come To Our Study On Worship: Not What I Expected
Getting Home Every Night After 9pm This Week: Not What I Expected

Having Time To Blog Only Once In Several Days: Not What I Expected

It's weeks like these that I thank God I can depend on one thing to remain a constant: He is faithful and actively involved in the unexpected. Thank You Jesus!
